Colorado National Monument

Near Grand Junction, Colorado is another smaller National Park referred to as The Monument. Here you will find deep canyons cut into sandstone and granite creating a unique desert landscape. While I was there it was not crowded at all and had full access to all the turnouts along the 23 mile Rim Rock Drive.
